Background of Training Camp Leaders 2025
Gerakan Kerelawanan Internasional (GREAT)‘s mission is to empower youth to develop their unique skills and become agents of change for world peace. Each year, GREAT organizes a series of impactful work camps, designed to foster international friendships among participants and engage with local communities. The success of these transformative programs largely depends on the vital role of our dedicated Camp Leaders, who expertly manage and guide work camps from pre-activity planning, throughout the duration of the camp, to post-activity follow-up.
For the upcoming Summer Camps 2025, GREAT is specifically seeking Experienced Camp Leaders who possess proven leadership skills, a deep understanding of intercultural dynamics, and a passion for creating meaningful volunteer experiences.
Therefore, GREAT invites experienced Camp Leaders like you to contribute more significantly to our upcoming Summer Camps 2025. By leading these impactful work camp events, you will not only ensure their success but also further enhance your advanced leadership, problem-solving, and cross-cultural communication skills through continued practical application. This opportunity allows you to strengthen your impact within GREAT’s mission and inspire future generations of volunteers in summer work camps and beyond.
Aims
To ensure the successful leadership and implementation of GREAT Summer Camps 2025, while further enhancing the leadership, problem-solving, and mentoring capabilities of experienced Camp Leaders.
Objectives
1. To cultivate non-formal learning methods.
2. To comprehend how a work camp is organized.
3. To assist participants in developing their own skill set for the benefit of the work camp organization.
4. To encourage participants to dig more of their potential.
5. To accommodate existing camp leaders to refresh and improve their skills as well as share it with new ones.
Expected Outcome
1. Participants experience non-formal learning methods.
2. Participants comprehend how a work camp is organized from pre-, during, and post-activities.
3. Participants are able to develop their own skillset as camp leaders.
4. Participants further strengthen confidence and advanced capabilities in leading diverse work camps.
5. Participants are able to refresh and improve their skills as well as share it with new ones.

Days/Time: Friday – Saturday, 04th – 05th of July 2025

Applicant’s Profile
1. GREAT Membership status must be active/valid. To check/register/renew your membership, email us here.
2. Has successfully served as a Camp Leader for at least one (1) previous GREAT work camp.
3. Confident and good in English.
4. Highly motivated and initiative-taking when they work in a team and/or as an individual.
5. Open-minded, respect others, and care about the environment.
6. Having an interest or basic skill in writing/photography/videography.
7. Willing to serve as a Camp Leader for GREAT Summer Camps 2025.
8. Committed to fully attending the whole duration of the training (GREAT will support you with a permission letter for college/work).
9. Committed to leading work camps full-time where you will be deployed.

⇒ Deadline for application: Sunday, 15th of June 2025 at 18.00 WIB/GMT+7.
⇒ GREAT will only contact shortlisted candidates for further interview on 15th of June 2025 at 20.00 WIB/GMT+7.
