Short Term Volunteering / Work Camp
Short Term Volunteering (STV) also known as work camp is community service that take 2-3 weeks undertaken by volunteers from various countries. Each work camp has specific theme such as environment, agriculture, children, heritage, literacy, etc.
Aims
- Exchange experience and culture, to provide opportunities for volunteers to connect with and learn from the community through enjoyment of local life and exchange.
- Provide a lasting change with specialized and sustainable voluntary works that improve the community.
- Give mutual benefit between the stakeholder, to empower not only the hosts, but also the local communities especially in depopulated areas.
Types of STV Projects
- International Work Camp: the participants come from more than 2 countries and/or nationalities.
- Bilateral Work Camp: the participants come from 2 countries and/or nationalities.
- Group Work Camp: bilateral the participants come from 2 countries and/or nationalities with special project and similar background.
- >18 years old
- Interested in the topic of the work camp (please check the project list)
- High motivation for volunteering activity
- Ready for manual work (in some work camps)
- Interested to explore Indonesian culture
Non Indonesian who lives abroad
1. Find a sending organization of your country via our global network members directory, enlisted below:
(a) Coordinating Committee for International Voluntary Service (CCIVS) or
(b) Alliance of European Voluntary Service Organisations, or
(c) Service Civil International (SCI), or
(d) Network for Voluntary Development in Asia (NVDA) – only for Asia Pacific countries
2. Choose a sending organization that accommodates your work camp preferences.
3. Start an application process with the organization according to your nationality or resident country. Our partner will be your sending organization.
Non Indonesian who lives in Indonesia (with resident status/KITAS/KITAP holders)

2. Attention: application for Indonesians is opened only after we announce a call for Indonesian volunteers. All calls will be shared in our social media.

International work camp is work camp that participants from all nationalities can join. However, we try to balance the number of Indonesian and international volunteers to have a balanced exchange opportunities for all participants.
