What is Basic Training Hybrid 2023
GREAT organizes Basic Training Hybrid 2023 that allows its members and new members to gain a better understanding and deeper insight into International Voluntary Service (IVS) movement globally in the world and locally in Indonesia. Furthermore, it provides information about our updated membership system called GREAT Journey. Related to the post-pandemic situation, the event also shares an updated situation of the organization, and its IVS activities in Indonesia, and in other countries within the year and after. Therefore, our attending members are expected to be able to decide how they can participate, in what role, and which field of voluntary works best for them to join and to get involved.
On the other hand, out of the Basic Training tradition and to adjust to organizational needs and sources, Basic Training 2023 will take place in a hybrid way (online and offline). Hence, GREAT invites more potential Indonesian youth volunteers to be actively involved within the organization by joining the Basic Training 2023 online. The offline part prioritizes those who reside in Salatiga and/or nearby or who have a high interest in directly learning about community project management with our local volunteer communities.
Aims
To provide new members of GREAT with comprehensive information about the organizational foundation, activities, and GREAT membership system for the best interests of members.
Objectives
1. To introduce the IVS movement concept to new members.
2. To deliver information about GREAT, a membership system, and GREAT Journey.
3. To provide members with basic knowledge of activities in GREAT.
4. To motivate members to get involved in GREAT activities in Indonesia.
5. To encourage members to be GREAT Outgoers.
Expected Outcome
1. Members comprehend the IVS movement concepts.
2. Members understand GREAT, a membership system, and GREAT Journey.
3. Members to acknowledge GREAT activities.
4. Members will actively involve in GREAT activities in Indonesia.
5. Members will join the GREAT Outgoing Program.

Therefore, if you are not a member yet or formerly a member and plan to reactivate your membership, click here to learn membership details and fill out the online form link to register as a member first. Terms & Conditions:
- Training is FREE of charge.
- All participants must attend at least all online sessions.
- Those attending online are expected to be on time to manage the schedule on track.
- For those attending offline on the last day: GREAT will cover snacks and stationery needed only during and for the offline session, BYOB (bring your own bottle), and bear your own transport to and from the training venue.
- We will close the application as soon as it’s fully booked due to limited space.
