Background
Every year, SCI Germany invites 10 volunteers from countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America to so-called “Incoming School Project”. 5 to 10 volunteers from Germany will also take part in the project. This year the topic of the school project is: “As if there was (no) tomorrow – global change for a sustainable future”. Read more the project description here.
This school project is a training seminar and school workshop, which aims to give active volunteer to get an understanding of youth work in Germany, as well as to learn and be exposed on the intercultural learning. The participants will discuss with students about hopes and aspirations of youth for the future and about the change which is necessary so that people all over the world can lead a fulfilling life. A special focus will be put on the concept of sustainability. GREAT is to recruit one female or male volunteer, to have further selection process to SCI Germany.
Venue and Time
Venue: Cologne, Germany, with chance to travel around nearby area to conduct planned activities.
Time: 6th September – 5th October 2017.
Volunteer Requirements
1. Active member of GREAT
2. Able to communicate fluently in English
3. Holding passport valid at 6 April 2018 or later
4. Committed in staying in Germany for 1 month
5. Having experience in international work camps
6. Willing to take actively part in the workshops and teach in front of a class (aged 14-19 years old)
7. Willing to conduct at least 2 international or bilateral workcamps of GREAT in Indonesia, within the period 2018
8. Willing to be active member of GREAT Camp Leaders group
Conditions
What IS covered by the project:
1. Volunteer will get travel reimbursement up to 650 Euros. Any exceeding travel expense is for the volunteer to bare.
2. Accommodation and meals are covered by SCI Germany
3. Travel insurance is covered by SCI Germany
What is NOT covered by the project:
1. Visa costs.
2. Volunteer must pay Inscription fee to GREAT IDR 1.000.000,-
3. Volunteer must pay Communication fee to GREAT IDR 100.000,-
4. Volunteer must give Guarantee fee to GREAT IDR 1.000.000,-.
This guarantee fee will be given back to the volunteer as they are back from Germany and have done their report and dissemination project

We conduct interview only for short listed candidates. GREAT Outgoing Staff will contact candidates for interview appointment.
