Established in 17th century, Kota Lama Semarang is a best preserved colonial city with remarkable testimony of important historical phases of human civilization in the South East Asia and the World. It’s center retains a group of buildings with various architectural styles coming from medieval, baroque and modern style.
It remains one of the most popular sites in Semarang visited by tourists, although today its beauty is damaged here and there after a long time of ageing. Additionally, it is obvious that there are a number of spots look dirty, full of trash scattered about, or full of the graffiti vandalism.
Inspired by the community voluntary event “Reresik Rembug Kota Lama” in which GREAT took part in it and because we care about this area, we would like to encourage all of you to support Kota Lama preservation by joining us painting the wall full of graffiti vandalism.
