About GAGA
Lunaria launched in 2012 a medium term strategy aimed to promote gender equality, through mobility, voluntary service activities and projects. This work has brought the organization to explore different sensitive issues within the big umbrella of “gender”, as for example: gender based stereotypes, gender role models, gender-based discrimination, hate speech toward individuals and LGBTQ+ communities, gender-based violence and women empowerment. The actors, target groups and beneficiaries of the process are young people, youth-social workers, local organizations and NGOs.
The theme of the GAGA project is non-formal education and youth work as a tools to promote gender awareness and gender equality by enhancing young women participation and empowerment within the local communities in EU and partner countries. Furthermore the project will have a specific focus on women role in youth work: how young women can become agents of social changes and promoters of raising awareness processes with young people and among their societies. GREAT is in the project together with LUNARIA – Italy, Universitur – Romania, Concordia – France, Equa – Spain, KVDA – Kenya, UPA – Uganda, BVBP – Peru, CHIRIBOGA – Ecuador, CSDS – Vietnam. The project is funded by the Erasmus+.
Objectives of the training:
1. It will be shared the main outcomes gathered during meeting questionnaire about the needs of youth workers and organizations in terms of methods, tools and pedagogical approaches to involve young people, raise awareness on gender sensitive-issues, promote gender equality.
2. Designed a first synthetic draft of the global pedagogical approach applicable in EU and partner.
3. Conceived to create, develop and test the set of new tools and methods that will be used at local level in the Practical Phase 1: local trainings targeted to young people and Practical Phase 2: local raising awareness activities.

Requirements:
1. Active GREAT member, activist of GO Cities
2. Youth workers facilitator/ active youth leaders
3. Age 18+
4. Hold a valid Passport
5. Interested in: human rights and gender issues, non-formal education for youth, and intercultural exchange
6. Fluent in spoken and written English is preferable.
7. Open minded, good teamwork, respect others and willing to learn something new.
8. Committed to disseminate the knowledge: conducting Practical Phase 1: local trainings targeted to young people and Practical Phase 2: local raising awareness activities.
The program covers:
1. Round trip ticket Indonesia-Italy and local transport in Italy during the training.
2. Visa fee.
3. Insurance during your stay in Italy
4. Accommodation and meals during project.
The program does NOT cover:
1. Sending fee which consists of inscription fee and guarantee fee
2. Personal medication
3. Passport fee
4. Personal expenses during transit and project
Terms and Conditions:
1. This program applies a reimbursement system for all fees paid after the arrival of training except the round flight ticket and accommodation and meals during project.
2. The activity will be conducted entirely in English.
3. Selected participants must pay for Inscription Fee IDR 1.000.000 to GREAT when selected upon selection announcement.
4. Selected participant must pay for Guarantee Fee IDR 1.000.000. This amount of money will be given back to you after the project dissemination finished and make report to GREAT.
5. Selected candidates must fully attend the Pre Departure Training at GREAT office in Semarang (dates to be confirmed). For reasons could be conduct with online meeting.
