Short Term Volunteering (STV)

STV or also recognized as work camp is an international volunteering activity that takes 2-3 weeks of each time by working on special themes and purposes. Some example are about children (Street Children, Children with Disabilities, Children in Slum Area), Education, Environment, Culture and Heritage, etc.

Types of GREAT STV projects:

  • International Work Camp
  • Bilateral Work Camp (only 2 nationalities in the camp)
  • Group Work Camp (bilateral camp with special project and similar background of participant)


  • To exchange experience and culture, to provide opportunities for volunteers to connect with and learn from the community through enjoyment of local life and exchange.
  • To provide a lasting change with specialized and sustainable voluntary works that improve the community.
  • To give mutual benefit between the stakeholder, to empower not only the hosts, but also the local communities especially in depopulated areas.

How to join:

  • Apply as non-Indonesian participant.
  • Apply as Indonesian participant.
  • Propose new STV project (for potential local partner who needs volunteers in their organization)
